Users having Outlook connected with Gmail, are checking their emails via Gmail Web interface, This make one thing clear that their emails are safe and they are not losing any data.

Google admitted this bug on March 12, and traditionally this bug will be fixed very soon. Google plans to fix it within this week.

After solving this issue, Google will launch an automatic update which will be able to resynchronize your mailbox so that the email messages can easily be downloaded without going to Gmail’s web interface. This bug was introduced in an upgrade came earlier this month and affected Apps administrators.

Actual cause of the bug is still unknown, all we know is that this bug “primarily” affects end users who are not able to download messages to their Outlook.
