Gingerbread Comes To Droid
Today is the hacks day, because more than three hacks came out today. One was of ExoPC other was of HTC HD2, Nexus S was also hacked and this one is of the well known Droid phone. Well, we all know that Google scheduled an update of Android 2.3 for the Droid but the curious folks already did it before the official release of Gingerbread to the Droid.

It seems amazing that Droid and other Android handsets are getting the latest Gingerbread. I would surely like to name those smartphones, so here is the list. The Nexus One, Samsung Galaxy, the Nexus S, the Droid Pro and the Droid 2. Now the Droid got it yes Gingerbread finally came to Droid courtesy of some hackers.
What I personally think is that the Android’s hacker community is more efficient than that of Google’s. Hacking community did a splendid job to hack Droid and make it run the Gingerbread.
Now let’s see how much this hack works for the Droid users. Most of things works on the Droid after porting Gingerbread. For now Google apps like the Gmail and Market doesn’t work on Droid with Android 2.3. It is recommended not to update your Droid to the Gingerbread because Google apps doesn’t work. If you are not a Google fan then you must opt for it and enjoy the latest update on your dashing Droid.
