We just got the news that the fake iTunes receipt spam is on the move. It looks like the original Apple iTunes Store receipt, but it is not the case. Scammers sends you a fake email containing some malicious links. These fake emails with fake links are disguised to be sent by the Apple, in reality it’s a spam which can redirect you some malware hosting site. This email will redirect Windows users to a fake Adobe Flash installer.
If you closely look at the fake adobe installer’s .exe file, you will come to know that it has .ru website link attached with it. This is a Russian extension.
Once you are redirected to any of the rouge website, it starts the installation of some fake files. As soon as the installation is complete, victim is then redirected to some website hosting the Zeus Trojan. Zeus is the popular Trojan which steals user’s credentials.
