5 More Cybercriminals Arrested in Ukrain

It has been reportedly said that Ukraine police arrested 5 more hackers. These 5 cybercriminals used Zeus Trojan to snatch more than 70 million dollars from U.S. banks. Ukrainian police also searched out 8 more warrants against cybercriminals.

About two months ago Slovenian government arrested the Mariposa malware developer and his 2 team members. This FBI has reportedly said that the arrested cybercriminals have just targeted medium-sized business. Cybercriminals used a malware get bank account passwords and other private credentials.

Estimate loss for each bank is still unknown. FBI is investigating these activities since May 2010 in different U.S. states. Since the start of their investigation, 92 people have been fined while 39 are arrested. Arrested people are U.S. nationals, they are staying in U.S. on visa basis, they have opened bank accounts with fake names.
