Facebook Traffic Takes an 8% of Decline

This morning when I started my day I saw an article with the title “Facebook Sees Big Traffic Drops in US and Canada as It Nears 700 Million Users Worldwide” and it was all about the decline of traffic on Facebook. I found it very interesting as Eric Eldon of Inside Facebook had a great analysis on decline of traffic on Facebook worldwide. For more clarification see the following screenshot.

It was a great article for sure but I found one more interesting information about the decline in the traffic of world’s largest social networking website well known as Facebook. Above information was not wrong because there is another source depicting a major drop in Mark Zuckerberg’s company’s traffic!

According to Global Stat Counter, Facebook had a major decline from May 2011 to June 2011. Yes, 8% of the traffic drop is not usual for the website having almost 700 million monthly active users. Do have a look at the screenshot below, you would be shocked to this decline! To me this is the major drop for Facebook.

I have exclusively compiled this for those who don’t know much about the market share of the social media websites. In the screenshots above you can see a major drift in StumbleUpon’s traffic, yes a 5% increase is more than enough for StumbleUpon. To make it more clear let me paste a status of my friend who said that Twitter is more interesting than Facebook. Have a look below.

twiiter-interesting-facebook To put it short I must say that this major decrease in traffic of Facebook is just shocking for the fans, analysts and for the Facebook management as well.
