Samsung To Ditch 10.1 Netbooks in 2012
Well, this is something very shocking, especially from Samsung’s perspective. It appears that Samsung will discontinue its 10.1-inch netbook in the first quarter of 2012. This was disclosed when an email came to Samsung’s European partners and they made it very clear that the company is going to stop the netbook range next year. My only question remains that what about the support of the discussed range of netbooks?

Instead, Samsung’s main focus are the is on 11.6- and 12-inch ultraportable and new ultrabooks next year. Below is the translated email:
Following the introduction of our new strategy in 2012, we will discontinue our 10.1-inch (netbook) product range in Q1 2012, in favor of ultraportables (11.6 and 12 inches) and ultrabooks to be launched in 2012.
Well, Samsung will offer some affordable ultraportable and 11.6 netbooks will also continue. According to the analysts, this is not surprising because the netbook shipping was suspended about four months ago and company is shifting to 10-inch tablets and the shift is a major one.
